- They can use GUM and DISCARDED pieces of PAPERS, MAGAZINES to bring together thoughts on the given theme.

- Each team comprises of maximum five members.
- There is no limit on number of teams who can participate from one institute.
- Each team would be given a clue from which they have to find the first product and the subsequent clue with which they will zero down to the remaining products and so on.
- Clues are to be given and products are to be discovered within the campus. No teams are allowed to go outside the campus.
- Winning team will be decided on FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS (Less no. of time taken to collect the maximum nos. of product).
19. SHODH (PAPER PRESENTATION): 2nd March, 10:30am to 11:30am, JNIT Conference Hall
The paper presentation is all about how you put your topic a present your topic in front of public and also make a slide of the source you have collected all the information from.
RULES:
Two rounds for the event

- A team of max. 2 will be allowed two give the presentation.
- Confirmation will be given via e-mail. If the paper is selected.
- The abstract of 300 words should reach by 29 feb.,2012 to the mail id s mentioned after the topic.
- Students from CS-IT, EC-EIC&MECHANICAL can participate.
Each paper should include the following components.
- Title of the paper: As main heading
- Abstract: Each paper must be preceded by an abstract of not more than 33 words. The abstract should contain name of the author(s), e-mail address, college name abd field of paper. Only SI units and standard symbols should be used.
- Paper size: Approximately 3500 words, A-4 size paper.
- Appendix: Lengthy mathematical analysis, whose details are subordinate to the main, should be put in the appendix.
- Full text space arrangement: left margin 1 right margins 0.5, top margin 0.5 and bottom margins 0.25. 1.5 lines spacing. Text should be typed in letter quality, preferably on laser jet printers of IBM type writers.
FONT SIZE:
- Title: 16 ( Times new roman/Bookman old style /Arial)

PRESENTATION:

Automation refers to the presentation of working projects. Projects can either be related to any engineering stream like Electronics, Robotic, Mechatronics etc.
- A team should consist of 3 members each.
- Each team must prepare a report on their project.

Mouse (Simply Optical) And Headphones Would Be Provided To All The Players.
- Decision to Allow a Team to Compete Or To be disqualified would Lie Solely. The hands of the Organizing Committee.

- The topic will be given at the moment only.
- One has to speak for a minute.

23. JUDGE D FUDGE (DUMB CHARADE): 2nd March, 11:30am to 12:30pm, Main Stage
- Three members in each team.
- The game will be organized in various rounds.
- Each member of the team has to come at least once for gesticulation.
- Time limit for acting is one minute.
- Teams can use gestures but individual letters cannot be signaled.
- Lip movement or any kind of sound is unacceptable.
- In case of any discrepancies, the decision of the judge will be final and binding.
24. MALHAR ( SOLO SINGING COMPETITION): 3rd March, 11:30am to 12:30pm, Main Stage
- Basic musical instruments like mikes, orchestra (synthesizer, guitar and dholak with the accompanist) would be provided.
- Only limited number of participants would be allowed and the criteria would be on the first come first registered basis.
- Any rendition must be a film song/album song.
- Only solo performance.
- In the preliminary round you need to sing one stanza of the song.
- Chorus singers may be used if there is a need.
- Only one entry from a college.
- Time limit: 4 min.
- Karaoke singing is not allowed.
25. T-Trends (T-SHIRT PAINTING): 2nd march, 11:00am to 12:00pm, Drawing Hall JNIT
- One participant in a team.
- No limitation on the use of colors.
- Themes will be provided on the spot.
- Time limit is 1 hour.
- Brief write up of the painting is essential.
- Plain white T-shirt Colours , Brushes etc are to be brought by the participants.
26. VOGUE ( The Fashion Show): Prelims-2nd March, 3:00pm to 4:00pm, Main Stage

- The Ramp will be T- shaped.
- The music CD ( strictly in audio format only) should be submitted at the registration desk by 11:00 AM on the day of the event. Please carry one CD for any emergency.
- Changing rooms will be allotted after reporting of the team.
- Time limit (8min.) Exceeding the time limit will result in negative marking.
- Backstage helpers should not exceed 4 in number.
- There will be 2 rounds :

27. SUBITO (The Software Competition):3rd March, 9:30am to 10:30am, JNIT Computer Lab
- There will be two rounds:
Preliminary (30 minutes) Objective test of programming skills (C,C++,J2SE).
Mains (2:30 hrs): On the spot software development and presentation (Only for those who quality the prelims).
- Team size: Maximum two candidates.
- Problems will have to be programmed in C,C++, J2SE ( core JAVA) and VISUAL BASIC, depending upon the choice of the candidate.
- Platform provided: WINDOWS XP SP 2.
28. BODY ROCKERZ (GROUP DANCE COMPETITION): 3rd March, 1:30pm to 2:30pm, Main Stage
- Audio CD must be deposited by 11:00 AM positively on the day of the event at the registration desk.
- Music should be in the Audio format Neither in MP3 not in Video format.
- Please carry one stand by CD for any emergency.
- Exceeding the time limit will result in negative marking.
- Teams should arrange for their own music system for practice.
- Place and time slot for practice will be given to the teams.
- Maximum two teams from a college.
- Team members ( Max. 8 Min. 2). No solo performance.
- Duration of performance max. 6 minutes.
29. STEP UP (STREET DANCE COMPETITION): 2nd March, 2:30pm to 3:30pm, Main Stage
- The music will keep changing, you will have to adapt of the beat.
- Maximum two teams from a college.
- Organizers will provide the music on the spot.
- Weight-age will be given for adaption to change of music and pace of beat, coordination and choreography.
- No props allowed.
- The organizers wont be responsible for any kind of injury.
- Each round will be of 30-40 seconds.
- Stage should be in the same condition as before the performance; or they will be eliminated.
- Team members ( Max. 8 Min. 2). No solo performance.
